Robert M. McClure, 74, of Rt 1, Waveland died at his home at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday. He had been in failing health for six years. He was a retired farmer. His memberships included Browns Valley Christian Church, Raymond Todd Post 323 American Legion at Waveland, Crawfordsville Veterans of Foreign Wars and Waveland Masonic Lodge. He served in the Army during WWII and was a 1937 graduate of Waveland HS. Mr. McClure was born near Russellville on September 24, 1919 to Roy and Waneta Gooding McClure. He was married at Advance on May 6, 1948 to Joan Bratton. She survives. Other survivors include a daughter, Sharon K. Cook of Waveland; a son, Terry L. of Waveland; two sisters, Marjorie Grimes and Margaret Stewart of Crawfordsville; a brother, Dale McClure of Hillsboro; four grandchildren; two stepgrandsons and one great grandchild. The funeral is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Friday in Machledt & Servies Funeral Home at Waveland with the Rev. Rodney Coffman officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery at Crawfordsville.
